Public Lecture: Three Yogas to Meditation
September 8th & 9th, 6:30 – 7:30 PM Eastern Time
In-Person Only
Birmingham Unitarian Church, 38651 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304
Lectures are open to anyone age 16 and above
Discover how the three classical paths of spiritual growth—Karma (action), Bhakti (devotion), and Jnana (knowledge)—work together to lead a seeker toward meditation.
Spiritual growth is a subtle science. A random or unstructured approach often yields little progress and may even hinder development. The journey begins with understanding your own disposition—whether you are primarily active, devotional, or intellectual. Every individual is a blend of all three, with one tendency predominating.
The Solution
This series will guide you in balancing these three yogas to suit your personality. Through consistent practice, they help refine the mind, gradually removing layers of desires that obscure one’s inner divinity. This leads to a natural state of meditation, which ultimately culminates in Self-realization—the highest human goal.
You will also learn the fundamentals of each path and how to apply them practically in daily life to achieve peace, success, and lasting fulfillment. The lectures will help dispel the common misconception that spirituality is separate from worldly life, revealing instead how timeless scriptural wisdom serves as a practical guide for living.
